Just the beginning

Let's just say that the beginning of this trip south has started out... interesting. I was supposed to board at 1:41pm, which obviously meant that a trip to the airport was in effect a couple hours earlier. Upon my arrival to the airport I noted that my first flight had been delayed- and yes, I checked the status twice before I left home on different occasions. So, after finding out that I had two options... stay in the Atlanta, Georgia airport/hotel over night OR go home, sleep in my own bed for a couple of hours... I chose the ladder as both of them had me scheduled to arrive in Guadalajara at the same time tomorrow. So, here I am in bed, anxiously awaiting my flight in the morning. Three am is not exactly my time of day BUT I will be up and ready. Suitcases packed, passport ready, lists crossed off... I think I am ready. I am excited to see what the summer holds- other Christians, "family", language study, hopefully the right classes, and much more. It was an unexpected adventure to get started, but I know that God is in control of all circumstances, and there must have been a reason why the plans were changed. I am thankful for a God who is in control! :)

An introduction

I'm not usually one for writing, but I thought I'd start a blog for sharing purposes. I'm a procrastinator and hopefully it won't get the best of me! As I embark on a trip to Mexico in a couple of weeks, I would like to make this a place for sharing things I've learned, photos, stories for enjoyment, etc. Even as I return, begin my third year of university, I hope to continue to share pieces of interest. Hopefully, I'll get around to it soon (tomorrow)!
